Images to Set You Apart
Have you ever been to a website and felt that you had been there before... Or maybe you were looking for a service provider of some sort… started googling for that type of service… and found page after page of different companies offering the same thing… and started to feel like they all said the same thing and their websites even looked like duplicates of each other? If you haven’t, I can guarantee that your customers have and the last thing you want is for them to feel that when they are on your website.
So let’s say you have a landscaping company… then your color themes will likely include greens, as will every other landscaping company in your area. You probably offer similar services, and say similar things about your company. So what will it be about your website to make you different than the others? What will make them decide that you are better or different or a cut above or make them feel like you are real and trustworthy? Well hopefully your reputation will proceed you, however if a potential client does not know of you or your competitors then consider your website one of the biggest deciding factors. I believe that one of the best things you can do for your website is to present original and high quality photos on your website design showing who you are and what you do.
While stock photography is always an option, if you have a digital camera the best choice is always to produce your own photos. Often affordable stock photography has been used in many other websites and may hurt you more than help. Here are some ideas of photos that you can provide your web developer to make your website stand out:
- Photos of your employees working
- If you sell a service then before and after photos
- If you sell a product than many high resolution photos of the product from all angles
- Profile Photos of your employees
- Photos of your office (inside or out)
- Photos of your equipment
If you would like assistance in adding original high quality photos to your website then email us. We can even set you up with a photographer if you prefer to outsource the photography production.
